Some societies also respond to the specific needs of the population they serve by offering: A service for all people living at home with early Alzheimer Disease. The service aims to maintain the intellectual capacities of such individuals and to avoid exhaustion of caregivers by providing them with a few hours of respite. Support groups for people in the early stages of Alzheimer Disease. The idea is to offer these people a place where they can discuss and share the feelings, emotions, and anxieties provoked by their common experience. This place also enables them to fight isolation and maintain social contacts. Finally, some societies have developed a creative and new residential concept and companionship for people with Alzheimer Disease.
